IN OUTSOURCED CLINICAL TRIALS - OCTOBER 2004

with the old and in with the new....................
ORION
was pleased to launch its new conference stand at IIR’s ‘Effective
Pricing Models & Contracts in Outsourced Clinical Trials’ conference
which took place in London on 20th and 21st October. This is
the first of many conferences which ORION plans to attend with
this new stand over the coming months.
A
diverse mix of ORION representatives (Project Managers, CRAs,
and of course, Business
Developers) attended the conference and
also helped to man the stand, which we are pleased to say, assembled
like clockwork, stood out from the crowd, and was also easy to
dismantle and move on to the next venue! (as we were involved
in its design you could accuse us of being a tiny bit biased………….)
The
conference was of particular interest to the ORION Proposals
and Contracts
group as we learnt about the types of contracts
that some sponsors had put into effect – sometimes to their
gain, and sometimes to their disadvantage. If we learnt one thing
from the conference, I think it’s this - we should stick
to our current philosophy which is:
“To
forge new collaborations with sponsors in the pharmaceutical
and biotechnology industry; we should work under terms and conditions
that enable us to meet fully, or exceed, our sponsors’ expectations,
thereby enhancing ORION’s reputation in the industry and
enabling us to win repeat business.”
